Happy Thanksgiving 2018
Wishing you a beautiful weekend with your family. For Americans, Thanksgiving day is one of the most important celebrations. Many families travel from coast to coast, just to meet and have dinner with their relatives. I hope you enjoyed it very much.
“The holiday feast dates back to November 1621, when the newly arrived Pilgrims and the Wampanoag Indians gathered at Plymouth, Massachusetts for an autumn harvest celebration, an event regarded as America’s “First Thanksgiving”. It was the celebration of the colony first harvest in the New World. According to historical records, it lasted three days. But officially, it was more than 200 years later that, Abraham Lincoln declared Thanksgiving a national holiday in 1863.
The original menu feast between the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag at Plymouth Colony contained waterfowl, venison, ham, lobster, clams, berries, fruit, pumpkin, and squash. Yes, there is no evidence that wild turkey was included.
I will publish and continue with the Integral Education saga as of next week. For the time being, enjoy your vacation time as much as you can. It is a day for gratitude. Don´t forget it.
Blessings and a joy wish for all of you.
