Our aim today is to continue studying the foundations of the rationale behind the global maritime shipping initiative. We have already explained that we will extend this example to all the necessary weeks. This is one of the most complex cases any consulting company could ever receive as a mandate on earth. Why? Because shipping is a core section of international trade. It has more than 5,000 years of registered history. It has ignited civilizations, exploration, discovery, wars, disruptions, and schisms. I can´t think of another industry (not even the high tech) that could compare to this case. It doesn´t matter how long are we going to explore it, but we will do it satisfactorily, for the sake of our commitment to you.

Our quintuplet of entrepreneurs have dedicated all their lives to learning everything they could to make the project Vision 2050. The senior entrepreneurs of this case have developed their experience of more than 40 years (on average), by learning from mistakes. All of them are retired, but their friendship of years and years together, watching, observing, realizing, awakening, accomplishing, and developing ideas is not just amazing. The weight of their backgrounds should be honored with a good value proposition. They deserve the best of us when preparing the CVP, and I truly do not mind extending it for more weeks.

Understanding shipping.
Last week we finished the historical brush of the maritime economic sector. Today we will start to understand the essence of our shipping industry. I also have included the last section of the historical timeline that covers China (1990-2024). China has transformed itself into the top beneficiary of globalization. No other country on earth has developed this “status” on earth. Never. It is important to understand what is happening, and why are we so slow and cautious in our research activities. We can´t forecast lightly. We can´t dimension the implications of a new transformation Vision 2050 of the global fleet, without considering all the edges.

Please remember that we publish our frame-of-reference slides only on Fridays, and we upload our strategic reflections later. The complexity of this case is tied to many factors that we need to consider before making our CVP. This case is about using CVPs for legacy projects. We will continue analyzing the sea shipping industry next week, and probably another one. We will stay in the elaboration of example 5 until we are satisfied with our teaching-learning experience. Musical Section.
This saga is about improvement, amelioration, upgrading, and the advancement required in the theory and practice of value propositions. Example number 5 will take more time than needed, but it will be worthwhile. Value propositions are the first step in our business modeling frameworks. If the value proposition is improper, then our business model is mistaken.

Aujourd´hui I will break the routine. When I was preparing our material, Mom and I bumped into this gospel song. It is interpreted by Ce Ce Winans, but it was written by Jenn Johnson in the year 2019 (the original writer/author of the song). This musical section is dedicated to so many of us who have kept our faith in God despite our troubles, misunderstandings, regardless time and no matter the circumstances. Notwithstanding the difficulties, problems, sacrifices, or years of waiting for his blessings; we are still keeping our inner heart desires alive because we are still breathing his poetry of life.
