Strategic Reflection from our heart. What can we do when we can´t help with money?
As you know, I would like to be married soon with Alejandro Guillermo Lozano Artolachipi, a Spanish tall man I met 17 years ago in Costa Rica. I hope to marry him before the Volvo Ocean Race 2017-2018 will finish next year. But this is my personal life. And regardless my wishes, it has been raining. And natural disasters are happening.
But, what to do, when natural disasters happen frequently, such as Harvey, Irma, José, and María?
And recently, the two Mexican´s earthquakes in Oaxaca and México City?
What to do when we can´t help economically?
All we can do at the moment is to pray hard for the recovery, for strength and hope. At least that is what I can do. All I can do is to write in order to cause some awareness to the ones who can help economically. Why? Because we can relate to those disasters. I live in a seismic region, and we have suffered several earthquakes with thousands of victims. We live in the middle of two oceans: the Atlantic and the Pacific oceans, and we also know what is to be in the middle of mudslides and storms. We can relate and understand the pain, the heartbreaks, and the difficulties to save lives… each minute counts when rescuing people in the middle of the debris.
All we can do is to pray, to give a word of encouragement, to call friends and move the heart of the ones who have economic possibilities to help… Please if you can help, do it. We encourage you to do it. Help as much as you can… México, Texas, the South of Florida and the Key West, Dominica, Turk & Caicos, Virgin Islands (St. John & St. Thomas), Puerto Rico, Montserrat Island, Guadeloupe, St. Kitts & Nevis, Cuba, Haiti, Dominican Republic, St. Marteen, Tortola (British Virgin Islands), St. Barts and Barbuda.
All these cities are living their own rescues … LIVE!
